The workshop “Fund setup, investment strategy, investment team, exit strategy” of the “Capacity Building Programme for Fund Managers” took place at the European Investment Fund (EIF) in Paris on Thursday, June 30th 2022. The event was another important milestone and the 4th of a set of workshops organised jointly by the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Investment Fund (EIF), the European Commission (EC) and the European Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA).
Investments in space technology, infrastructures and digital applications are quickly growing with new opportunities foreseen for European companies in this emerging sector. This series of events aim at bringing together the investors community and the space sector in order to develop the skills and investment methodology of private investment funds who want to focus their activities on various space market segments.
After this first semester of workshops, we see the community strengthening and we are happy about the successful results and positive feedbacks from investors. We look forward to continuing the efforts after the summer and to organise the final episode of this set of workshops with the title “Access to space (launchers, ground systems, modular technology, etc)”.
Finally, at this occasion ESA welcomed a new investment fund as part of its Investor Network, Tikehau Ace Capital. ESA’s Investor Networks aims to trigger reflection, share knowledge and stimulate better relationships between interested investors and the Space domain, leveraging ESA’s long standing expertise and heritage central place in the ecosystem.
