    DESCRIPTION

DronEye develops an additional device to make any drone an AI-powered drone for
situational awareness during emergencies. The solution has two main components: First, the
AI sensor (smart video streaming device start transmission when detecting victim or target)
that can be mounted on drones to detect relevant objects such as victims and allows adaptive
video & information streaming to a remote server. Second, the fleet management platform
that response teams can use to remotely command drones and preview the received video
    stream from disaster zones.
The drones can be flied pre-programmed routes passing through waypoints, which are
defined, by GNSS co-ordinates and altitude levels. The drones have a GNSS receiver, which
utilises the GNSS constellations to determine its position. Furthermore, the drones will be
connected to the pilot through a communications link, which is comprised of 4G/LTE (i.e.,
mobile phone networks) and a SatCom links. While the signal strength of 4G can differ
based on the drone’s location and altitude, SatCom is always present and ensures that the
drone pilots are always able to monitor the performance of the drone and take control if
required. The SatCom link is therefore a critical safety redundancy component of the
overarching drone control system, whereas the additional SatEO allows remote monitoring of
    people, objects, and surrounding environments.
