    Ulrich has a strong track record as CEO and board member over 20 years from industries in digital transformation. His professional career was most influenced by business transformations sparked by new disruptive developments and technologies, first in the media industry, then in mechanical engineering and finally in the automotive industry. Today Ulrich serves as is General Partner at Einstein Industries Ventures GmbH, a Berlin based growth stage space venture fund, investing in software and information solutions that help European Industry to transform into the IoT era.

    Currently he is also shareholder and Member of the Board of Next.e.GO Mobile SE. As CEO of a management buy in team, Ulrich helped the Battery Electric Vehicle Startup company to restructure its equity funding and cap table, secure funding and thus recover from its COVID caused shut down in 2020. In his role today Ulrich is guiding Next.e.GO’s digital car user-centric business, digital sales channels, software and service business as well as its global roll out within the automotive industry.

    Prior to this Ulrich was a member of the Management Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, running the global digital transformation program helping Heidelberg to move up the value chain, serving customers with insights from data and integrated smart factory offering. He was responsible for global sales operations, Corporate IT and the Software and Services division at Heidelberg.

    More than a decade Ulrich was the CEO of Wolters Kluwer in Germany and Central Europe, which is an information services provider that has transformed from a traditional publishing house to today’s Provider of intelligent digital business solutions in industry verticals.

    Previously, Ulrich Hermann held CEO positions at Süddeutscher Verlag and Bertelsmann AG. He studied mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen and at the M.I.T., Cambridge as well as economics in University of St. Gallen. Today he is a honorary professor at the University of Allensbach, currently with courses on digital business transformation.
