Didier Flament is the Head of the EGNOS and SBAS Division in the ESA Navigation Directorate. Since 2009 he has been Co-chair of the international SBAS systems Interoperability working group with the US FAA, which is engaging with 10 Agencies developing SBAS from around the world.
Didier started his career at ONERA (France) in October 1987 studying the integrity of GPS for the French Ministry of Defence, and then for French Civil Aviation. He has accumulated more than 35 years of experience (ONERA, Space Industry, ESA) in Engineering and Project Management of Satellite Navigation Systems (mainly on EGNOS & Galileo but also participating to the US WAAS (at Wilcox) and GPS III Phase A (Boeing team).
Didier has received several awards from the US ION and the Vermeil Medal from the AAE (Air & Space Academy) in November 2016. He has co-authored more than 100 papers in the domain published at DSNS, ION GNSS, ENC, and more.
