Celebrating the Finalists of the Prix Bulles Pierre Cardin – Ocean&Space 4 Our Planet

The Prix Bulles Pierre Cardin – Ocean&Space 4 Our Planet is at the heart of innovation and sustainability. Now in its third edition, this distinguished award honours startups that boldly advance the emergence of an ecological space economy to benefit Earth.

Advancing an Ecological Space Economy for a Sustainable Future

With €25,000 in development assistance at stake, the competition has drawn five exceptional nominees from a pool of dozens of applicants, each presenting bold concepts to ensure a more sustainable future for our oceans:

    • AlongRoute (Greece) works at the intersection of oceanography, artificial intelligence, and Earth Observation (EO), addressing one of the most urgent environmental and operational challenges in maritime transport: the accuracy and trustworthiness of marine weather forecasts.
    • Astradyne (Italy), with the lightweight, flexible, and highly efficient characteristics of their SolarDrape, presents transformative opportunities across several critical marine sustainability domains, including renewable maritime energy, autonomous ocean cleanup, environmental monitoring, freshwater production, and sustainable aquaculture.
    • Inverto Earth (Switzerland) harnesses space-based Earth Observation to enable large-scale, data-driven ecosystem restoration, with a focus on coastal and land-based carbon sinks such as mangroves, wetlands, and degraded forests.
    • Planetixx (United Kingdom) contributes to sustainable development by transforming satellite Earth Observation (EO) and artificial intelligence into near-real-time environmental intelligence for ocean protection, climate resilience, and public health.
    • SensFish (United Kingdom) platform provides the essential, near-real-time and predictive ocean- and maritime-specific data for companies’ operations and net-zero transition and implementation.

The award ceremony, scheduled for June 20, 2025, at the iconic Palais Bulles Pierre Cardin in Théoule-sur-Mer, will be a celebration of enterpreneurial spirit and environmental stewardship.

Stay tuned for more updates on this remarkable journey towards an ecological space economy.
