The Portuguese Space Agency has launched a new call for projects with the support of ESA InCubed, an Earth Observation (EO) programme managed by ESA Φ-lab. Focusing on innovative projects to modernise Portuguese cities through EO, this call has a total budget of €1.5 million.
About the Call
Portugal, as an active member of InCubed, has renewed its commitment to the development of Earth Observation innovative projects by launching a new call for co-funding applications. The ‘EO for Municipalities’ call encourages the use or creation of EO data and services within Portuguese local governments, focusing on the participation from the Portuguese industry.
The budget for this call is 1,5 million euros, with no upper limit for individual projects. Topics of interest include urban and territorial planning, climate adaption and mitigation in both urban and rural areas, air quality and pollution tracking, biodiversity conservation, and forestry management, among others.
Submissions
Proposals can be submitted at any time within the application period, and there are two evaluation cycles per year.
