Flight Ticket Initiative

THE FLIGHT TICKET INITIATIVE IS A JOINT INITIATIVE OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION AND THE EUROPEAN SPACE AGENCY FOR EUROPEAN COMPANIES OR ORGANISATIONS TO TEST NEW SATELLITE TECHNOLOGIES IN SPACE.

Under this initiative, ESA and the EU will co-fund European launch services selected on a competitive basis to demonstrate and qualify in-orbit technologies or sub-systems on “ready-to-fly” satellites.

To apply for a flight ticket for your satellite, submit your proposal in response to the Call for Expressions of Interest. 

The calls are open until 15 March 2026, with cut-off dates on:

• 31 May 2023, 18:00 (CET)
• 15 March 2024, 18:00 (CET)
• 02 September 2024, 18:00 (CET)
• 15 March 2025, 18:00 (CET)
• 01 October 2025, 18:00 (CET)
• 15 March 2026, 18:00 (CET)
