    Nil Angli

    Nil joined the European Space Agency in 2016.  He previously worked as a Space Systems Engineer at Surrey Satellites Technology Ltd for 8 years. When he began at ESA, he assessed new concepts and technologies to be applied to the next generation of communications satellites. Within his current role at ESA, Nil supports the Maritime industry to develop innovative and commercially viable services that leverage space data and encourage cross-sector collaboration.  In addition to coordinating the Maritime Working Group, Nil leads the Safety & Security Working Group for the Applications Department of the Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness Directorate. 

    Nil graduated in Aerospace Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and completed a Master of Science in in Astrophysics from the University of Barcelona. He also attained a Specialised Masters in Space Systems Engineering from ISAE-SUPAERO, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Security from the University of Leicester. Currently Nil is undertaking a Post-Graduate Diploma in Executive Maritime Management at the World Maritime University.
