Kristel Tans is the Head of the Project Control, Supply Chain & Finance department at the European Domestic Agency for ITER (Fusion for Energy, F4E). In this role she is leading a team of around 100 resources, accountable for an end-to-end view of the supply chain management, responsible for the project control of all F4E projects and manage budget, finance and accounting activities.
She holds a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit (KU Leuven – Belgium) complemented with an Executive Master in Business Administration (AMS – Antwerp Management School – Belgium). She is a Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Internal Auditor.
Before joining F4E she built an extensive professional experience in Europe working with private companies in automotive and chemical sectors.
