The next generation of AI software for mobile autonomous robots

On 27 November 2023, the ESA Commercialisation Days: Transportation event will take place. Key actors from the transportation and space sectors will come together to develop new synergies. Read the story below from ARTI one of the start-ups that will pitch during the event. ARTI is associated with ESA BIC Austria.

    Background

ARTI was founded in 2019 by Alexander Buchegger, Clemens Mühlbacher, Konstantin Mautner-Lassnig and Stefan Loigge. The four fellow students met in the robotics team at Graz University of Technology and developed the idea of an AI software kit for mobile autonomous robots.

The company was launched during its incubation period at the local High Tech Incubator Science Park Graz. The initial milestones for ARTI were to build a robotic prototype TROI and participate in the “Autonomous Jetflyer” project, an autonomous parcel-delivery system in Graz.

    Looking to the future

During this period ARTI acquired its first customers and moved into their current office in Gössendorf. Since then, ARTI has worked on developing a strong market position in software for autonomous mobile robots. They also conduct highly innovative customer projects in Germany, Italy, Austria and Slovenia.

ARTI specialises in the next generation of AI software and comprehensive services for all aspects of robotic projects. The company is driven by honest curiosity to further the development of mobile robotics.

Other notable milestones are projects such as RoboNAV, Move2Zero, LOKI, REDI or PRESENT with several high-ranking national research partners. ARTI also completed a successful time in the ESA Business Incubation Center Austria.
