In line with Agenda 2025, one of the main goals of the ESA Commercialisation Department is to mobilise a pool of influential financial market participants to develop and integrate informed Space investment decision-making capacity in the space domain, thereby increasing and facilitating access to finance for European space companies.
HOW WE WORK
1. EXPERTISE EXCHANGE
The members of the ESA Investor Network benefit from advisory and support by ESA regarding specific subject-matters, including but not limited to technical and market assessment of investments. Additional strategic initiatives benefitting both the investors and ESA can be launched.
2. INVESTMENT
Members have access to exclusive deal-flow opportunities stemming from ESA programmes and Business Incubation Centre, and dedicated investor days. Formal meetings involving General Partners are organised to facilitate exchange of information.
3. COMMUNITY
In taking an active role, participating in ESA activities, selection boards and pitch competitions, members can gain an early access to technical information and advice from technical experts. They also benefit to access to ESA’s wider network, including its partnerships with financial institutions.
4. EVENTS
ESA is actively involved in the European Commission’s Cassini initiative and the EUSPA, and has signed collaboration agreements with the EIF and the EIB for the benefits of investors willing to invest in space. Capacity building workshops are organised for investors to gain better understanding of processes and the space markets.
Many events are regularly organised to promote ESA Rising Stars and introduce investors to recent trends in the market
