Kanop, a Paris-based company founded in 2021, aims to facilitate the development and financing of forest carbon projects by bringing transparency and integrity to the market. Kanop uses artificial intelligence and high resolution satellite data to automatically and accurately measure the ecosystem services provided by forests, including carbon sequestration. Eventually, the company plans to be able to operate in all types of forests around the world.
