Irubis (former ATR Elements)
ATR infrared spectroscopy is a widely-used technology to analyze samples of various kinds. A core component of this technology is the sample carrier which is made of diamond. In the consequence, the costs are very high (approx. 5000 $) and thus the sample carrier must be cleaned and reused. ATR Elements solves this problem by radically innovating the sample carrier. Its sensitivity is up to 20 times higher and its price is up to 1000 times lower compared to conventional sample carriers for ATR infrared spectroscopy. ATR Elements current strategy aims at three different target markets: Standard applications in the entire lab market, drug development, blood&biofluid analysis.
