DESCRIPTION
Meta-analysis research indicates that extreme weather events are often caused by climate change. From 504 analysed extreme weather events and trends, reported in more than 400-peer reviewed papers, 71% were found to be made more likely or more severe by climate change. Heatwaves, droughts, heavy rainfall or floods are the most impacted types of events. These events have a direct impact on agricultural production.
