DESCRIPTION
A core requirement of the ApisProtect solution is the communications infrastructure connecting the beehives to the company’s servers. This enables big data to be analysed by the proprietary machine learning algorithms. The communication board technical architecture has been designed to support multiple protocols, and it is essential for the success of the ApisProtect business model to be able to provide communications to remote rural communities anywhere in the world. Current state analysis shows that existing providers such as Sigfox, LoRa, Vodafone narrowband IoT and indeed 2.5G/3G are not pervasive enough nor in some areas technically capable of supporting ApisProtect. ApisProtect will be using the funds available from this incubation process to technically and commercially evaluate the pervasive use of satellite communications.
