With a focus on sustainability, our projects, funded and co-funded, stem from all corners of Europe
and are improving lives across the globe. From health, education and leisure to agriculture,
transportation, energy and other critical infrastructure, we help space and non-space sector
organisations turn their ideas into sustainable projects and services.
Our role includes financial support, technical expertise, business mentoring and access to our networks, including the ESA Business Applications Ambassadors, who are the first point of contact for companies, acting as a bridge between ESA, Member States and industry.
We provide different types of funding opportunities to support the development of sustainable products and services utilising space data and technologies, including:
Companies can propose products and services in any sector at any time. Thematic calls are open for a limited period and address specific needs and themes.
Companies submit proposals in response to one of our regular open competitions. These are directed at a specific challenges or opportunities defined by ESA.
Whilst we operate in space, we have our feet firmly on the ground when it comes to business, and our partners share our focus. We’re looking for teams that have identified attractive market opportunities with real potential for engaging customers.
Motivation, business experience and industry expertise are key but, most importantly, we want to hear about business ideas that are commercially viable, technically feasible and involve either space technology or data.
