Dr. Dirk Spiegel currently heads the “Development System Fully Automated Train Operation” department as part of the “Digitale Schiene Deutschland” at DB Netz AG.
Previously, Dirk led the Localization and Digital Register Team to support future technologies. He has been working for Deutsche Bahn since 2018.
His academic background is from Technical University Braunschweig-Germany. He was awarded a doctoral degree in “Qualification of safety relevant satellite-based localisation systems for ground transportation”
