Dr. Georgia Kalantzi is a graduate of the Department of Oceanography and Marine Biosciences at the University of the Aegean. She holds an MSc in Marine and Naval Technology from the National Technical University of Athens and a PhD in Ocean Wave Modelling from the University of Southampton in the UK.
She has more than 15 years of experience in environmental and marine applications, with a focus on environmental/ocean modelling and forecasting. Since 2011 she has gained professional experience in the fields of environment, new technologies and innovation, with capabilities in management, coordination and communication.
Her skills include large data analysis, manipulation, GIS, environmental modelling, statistics, professional writing in Greek and English, and product management and business strategy planning.
She has participated in the publication of more than 20 scientific papers, journals and conference proceedings. She has also contributed to several conferences, workshops and seminars discussing various environmental topics.
Since 2016 she has been a shareholder of OMIKRON SA (AlongRoute parent company) and today she is the CEO of AlongRoute, also undertaking the role of Innovation and R&D Manager.
