Through Boost! 1 (the Commercial Space Transportation Services Element), ESA promotes and supports the development, deployment and the industrialisation of new commercially viable space transportation services proposed by Economic Operators from ESA Member States. Boost! 1 provides for a flexible programmatic framework geared at creating an opportunity adapted to European Economic Operators pursuing privately-led developments for commercially viable space transportation services in the sense that these services should be sustainable on freely accessible market segments and not rely on a guaranteed European institutional demand.
