    MultiPull GmbH

using Dicronite (dry lubricant) and / or using 3D printed ceramic gearwheels, Multipull One is a mobile, flexible, pocket-sized training station with no need for heavy and bulky steel weights that makes you completely independent of gravity though an electric motor that converts the energy from a high-performance battery unit into up to 80 kg of pulling force – and the power of your muscles back into electrical energy. Due to the fact that the motor is used outside the specification provided by the manufacturer, the gearbox is not designed for the high load and fails. Furthermore the geometry of the gear does not correspond to any standard module which makes the production difficult. During ESA BIC Multipull wants to further develop the gearbox focussing on reliability, low-noise and smooth operation, which is importart quality issue. Two possible, solutions are identified: To use 3D prnted ceramic gearwheels produced based on the technology of company 3Dceram, which is an alumnus of ESA BiC. The second possibilits is the use of DICTRONIT, a dry lubricant which was developed for space travel and is promoted by ESA to ensure a smooth operation with metal gearwheels. Both opportunities will be developed and tested focussing on the later series production.brief description of business and space connection
