    JoeySat Celebrates its Second Anniversary

    JoeySat, a demonstrator satellite developed under the ESA Sunrise Partnership Project in collaboration with Eutelsat OneWeb, successfully marked its second year in orbit. Launched on May 20, 2023, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, JoeySat is renowned for its beam-hopping capabilities, addressing resource allocation challenges in satellite systems.

    The satellite’s innovations enhance global connectivity and support emergency response efforts, bridging the digital divide. Tested with various user terminals and demonstrating crucial 5G applications, JoeySat exemplifies the swift development and deployment of advanced satellite communication technologies. The project highlights successful collaboration between ESA, Eutelsat OneWeb, and the UK Space Agency.
