Fly Me to the Moon webinar series

The Fly Me to the Moon webinar series, organised in collaboration with the European Business Angels Network (EBAN), was designed to bridge the gap between investors and the space sector.

The series provided a platform for showcasing the progress and direction of ESA in the biggest topics in space, introducing innovative and successful space startups to the audience and hence creating investment opportunities, highlighting the growing role of private capital in the European space economy.

The Fly Me to the Moon webinar series successfully connected investors and space startups, fostering dialogue and investment opportunities. Over 400 participants joined across multiple sessions and all over the world, engaging with 7 pioneering space companies including:

Gianluigi Baldesi, covering for Geraldine Naja, ESA’s Director of Commercialisation, Industry, and Competitiveness, delivered a keynote on the Grand Finale, discussing the rapid growth of private investment in space, ESA’s role in enabling commercial opportunities, and key trends shaping the future of the space economy:

    • The 50x growth in private investment in European space ventures over the past decade.
    • The rising share of Europe in global space investment
    • The critical role of space-based solutions in climate monitoring, in-orbit servicing, and global connectivity.

The series reinforced ESA’s commitment to supporting commercialisation and private sector engagement in the space industry.

    The recording of the sessions:
