ESA Connectivity and Secure Communications<\/strong> has opened registrations for the IRIS\u00b2 Low LEO Info Days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Following the signature of the Concession Contract Agreement between the SpaceRISE consortium (led by Eutelsat<\/strong>, Hispasat<\/strong> and SES Satellites<\/strong>), the European Space Agency<\/strong> and the European Commission<\/strong>, Europe is taking a decisive step towards a sovereign, secure and resilient multi-orbital satellite constellation: the Infrastructure for Resilience, Interconnectivity and Security by Satellite (IRIS\u00b2).<\/p>\n

IRIS\u00b2 will include a low orbital layer (Low LEO) of the constellation, in addition to the LEO-H and MEO layers. By driving industrial growth and technological excellence, Low LEO will play a key role in enhancing European sovereignty. <\/p>\n

Contributing to the initiative, the IRIS\u00b2 Low LEO Pre-Operational and De-Risk Activities components, forming part of Element 3 within the ESA Programme Related to EU Secure Connectivity, aims at establishing a structured pathway for the maturation and de-risking of complementary governmental services and associated system concepts up to pre-operational, prior to their integration into the IRIS\u00b2 operational system.<\/p>\n
