Winners of the first European-Singaporean Space Start-up Competition 2024

It is with great pleasure that we can announce the winners of the first European-Singaporean space start-up competition: an initiative that fosters global partnerships, supports access to bigger markets, and drives innovation for Space and for Earth.

Whilst we continue to celebrate 20 years of evolution with the ESA Business Incubation Centres (ESA BICs), we are eager to internationalise space-based business incubation beyond Europe. ESA representatives will accompany the winners receiving a sponsorship to attend the Global Space technology Convention & Exhibition 2025 in Singapore, one of Asia’s largest space-related business gatherings, scheduled for February 26th-27th, 2025.

This competition identified the most promising European space-related start-ups with potential business cases for the Singaporean market or collaborative projects with Singaporean partners.

    The Winners of the Competition

3IPK (Slovakia): 3IPK is a blockchain SaaS company specialising in space image security and supply chain data integrity. By leveraging blockchain technology, 3IPK ensures tamper-proof data verification for industries like aerospace, cybersecurity, and defence. With a focus on Web3 transparency, the company partners with global organisations, including ESA and Airbus.

Circuits Integrated Hellas (Greece): CIH is revolutionising space communications with advanced semiconductor technologies, merging III-V materials and silicon in groundbreaking 3D IC stacks. Focused on miniaturisation, cost efficiency, and unparalleled performance, CIH enables next-gen satellite connectivity, powering a future where seamless global communication knows no boundaries.

Samudra Oceans (United Kingdom): Samudra is a robotics and AI climate-tech start-up revolutionising mega-scale blue carbon capture through innovative seaweed farming solutions. By integrating advanced technologies with satellite data, they optimise blue carbon capture, promote biodiversity, and create sustainable bio-products, driving transformative impact in the blue economy and global climate resilience.

Zero Gravity (Finland): UrbanAI is a data fusion platform leveraging Copernicus Earth Observation data to provide close to real-time insights on environmental conditions globally. It delivers updates on temperature, emissions, vegetation, and water quality with AI-driven analytics. By creating digital twin models, it aids cities, ports, and industries in visualising environmental impacts, optimising operations, and identifying renewable energy sites.

We extend our congratulations to the above winners and look forward to them forging connections across Asia and beyond.
