ESA BIC Pitch to Fly Start-Up Competition at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2022

The 73rd International Astronautical Conference (IAC) will take place in Paris on 18-22 September at the Paris Convention Centre. On 19 and 20 September, from 14:00 to 15:00 CEST the European Space Agency Commercialisation department will host the “ESA BIC Pitch to Fly Start-Up Competition” at Hall 7 – F5, where ten young entrepreneurs will present their companies’ innovative offers in the field of Earth Observation and Space Transportation. On Wednesday 21 September, from 14:00 to 15:00 CEST, the two winners of the competition, one for each category, will be announced .

All the 10 startups have received support from ESA for their participation at the IAC and the winners will receive 1 hour of C-level mentoring by an ESA Director and an ESA Partner plus a very special award: a parabolic flight.

Massimiliano Vitale, Senior Vice President of Imagery & Analytics Engineering // Head of European Site Operations at Planet;
Kornel Szabo, CEO, Herius Capital;
Anilkumar Dave, Space Economy and Open Innovation Advisor, VC Fund Partner;
Yann Tincelin, Space Transportation Systems Project Engineer;
Laura Todd, Head of Future Programs for Space Exploration, Airbus.

The moderator of the competition will be Joana Kamenova, Commercialisation Officer, ESA.
